Emirates management and staff to whom TM spoke yesterday remain shocked by the surprise resignation, of Stephen Pearse, Vice President Australia. who’d been with the company since 2007.

One long-term staffer said: ‘it came out of the blue and we are all quite shocked. We like him very much and he is smart too”
No announcement has been made about Pearse’s plan
