People 1st and GoSkills have merged to create a single skills council for the training of the travel, hospitality and transport industries.

The new look council will see two members’ councils each with leading employer representation. One will concentrate on passenger transport, travel and tourism, the other leisure and hospitality.

As the merger takes shape, a strategy will be created which will be shaped according to the result of People 1st’s application to the Government for funding.
