Second lawsuit filed over cruise ship sex assault

Thursday, 04 Jan, 2024 0

Legal action against a former cruise ship worker has been expanded.

A second guest alleges rape and was impregnated by Margaritaville at Sea bartender Hoobesh Dookhy.

The assault happened in May 2023 in the stateroom shared by two women.

Both guests charged drinks to their stateroom, given the bartender access, according to the lawsuit.

It alleges Dookhy entered the room and raped one of the women.

The unnamed Jane Doe plaintiff became pregnant and ‘was forced to terminate the pregnancy. She then suffered serious complications,’ the lawsuit states.

Lawyer Spencer Aronfeld, said his client reported the assault to the FBI.

Jane Doe’s cabin mate filed an earlier lawsuit against Margaritaville at Sea operator Classica Cruise Operator Ltd which claimed Dookhy also assaulted her.

She is identified in that filing as ‘H.B’

Dookhy has previously admitted sexual intercourse with H.B. claiming it was a consensual act.
