JetBlue’s Arrival into LAX from both JFK and Boston

Amidst the buzz of airline crew and airport staff, JetBlue’s long-awaited inaugural flight into Los Angeles’ LAX airport, took off this month.  The carrier expanded its’ West Coast footprint by launching LAX service from both Boston and JFK on the same day.  This brings new competition into the region for several airlines including Virgin America, American, Delta and United.

JetBlue’s LAX arrival could also bring on new international business as they consider future airline alliances.  JetBlue already has a loyal following of customers in the L.A. area having faithfully served both Long Beach and Burbank Airports.  Flights generally fill up rather quickly from these 2 more regional airports.

Per JetBlue, “The airline will fly three-times daily to New York/JFK and once-daily to Boston from LAX Terminal 6. Overnight flights from LAX will include JetBlue’s complimentary Shut-Eye Service, featuring a Snooze Kit that includes earplugs and eyeshades, plus unlimited free snacks and beverages and a "good morning" hot towel service.”  Discounted fare examples are $129 to New York’s JFK and $159 to Boston Logan – each way.

The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, pictures with celebrity look alikes, a huge cake and other goodies and refreshments for those first customers boarding the flight at JFK.

Goody bags awaited each traveler as they were seated onboard which included liquor, gift cards, Sees Chocolates and other nice  The Captain announced a Big Blue Welcome as we took off for the L.A. area.  Customers seem to love the JetBlue-way-of-travel including their leather seats, screens at each seat with Direct TV and assortment of complimentary snacks including everyone’s favorite – the Terra Blue Potato Chips which is the official JetBlue snack.
