Holiday Taxis Group has promoted Ian Coyle to managing director.
He replaces chief executive Peter Hilton, who resigned in March saying he wanted to take time out to travel and work on new projects.
Coyle has been with the company for seven years, most recently as senior vice president global sales.
In his new role, he will work closely with Sir Colin Chandler, who will revert to his position as deputy chairman.
Coyle said Holiday Taxis has ‘been at the centre of my life for many years now’.
"I love the business, I love the people in our business and truly believe we have the best team in the industry here," he said.
"Working with Sir Colin has been enlightening to draw upon his vast experience in business and commerce and, I look forward to this continuing, as the Board, Executive Team and Shareholders are committed to our continuing quest for global domination within our space in the industry,"
Meanwhile Rebecca Cain has been promoted to deputy MD and will retain her financial and commercial director responsibilities within the business.
