TravelGator’s new Web site offers comprehensive travel plan

Wednesday, 06 Mar, 2007 0

TravelGator launched a completely updated version of its online travel planning site.

“The new site provides easy-to-use planning tools that allow travelers to build and share possible itineraries as they explore ideas on where to go for their next vacation,” according to the vacation planning site.

Travelers can browse destinations, see recommendations and stories posted by other travelers, and save anything of interest in their personal travel planner.

As plans firm up, travelers can find places to stay by searching TravelGator’s inventory of accommodations, assembled from a broad range of hotel partners.

The planning tools allow travelers to book flights, hotels and cars directly from their itineraries via leading online travel agencies and price comparison tools.

After they return from their vacation, travelers can post their stories and photos to share their experiences with friends, family and fellow travelers.

“The new TravelGator website was designed to help travelers not only with the practical aspects of planning a vacation, but also the fun parts – looking for ideas, putting together different possible itineraries, discussing plans with friends and family, and sharing tips, photos and stories from past travels,” the company says.

“For most people, vacations are one of the highlights of their year – something they look forward to for months before going, and savor the memories for months after they return,” said Chris Debrusk, CEO of TravelGator. He added:

“We understand this, and offer travelers a place to think about vacations throughout the year, and not just when it’s time to book the trip.”

TravelGator’s Web site offers a varied database of content, with information on over 14,000 destinations, over 10,000 attractions and over 65,000 hotels.
