Choice Offers New Dynamic Room rates for Business travellers

A new Dynamic Pricing rate scheme targeted at Choice Hotels Australasia’s (CHA) corporate market is set to be a win-win for business travellers and hoteliers alike.

Set to launch on February 1, CHA Senior Director of Sales Aileen Cobern said Dynamic Pricing enabled CHA franchisees to fill last minute vacancies while offering their business clients the best available room rates.

“Rather than locking clients into a discount rate fixed months in advance, CHA hotels will now be able to offer daily changing rates that respond to market peaks and troughs and can be often less expensive, thus providing much more value and flexibility,” Ms Cobern said.

“With Dynamic Pricing, we can guarantee the right product at the right price and right time for our business travellers, while also ensuring fewer vacant room nights at CHA properties.”

Ms Cobern said the new rate structure would be available to corporate travellers booking through a travel agent or via the group’s reservation system or online.

“Our aim is to offer business clients the best available rates at CHA properties.  We want them to benefit from low rates when demand is low and ensure our franchisees make the most of corporate business opportunities,” she said.

“We’ve just produced a Dynamic Pricing brochure which our sales team is currently taking to key corporate clients to educate them about this exciting new program.”

CHA represents the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands and offers a wide range of accommodation in city and regional locations, ranging from 3½ to 5-star, most with in-room/in-house business facilities.

“The 2006 CHA Directory has also just been released and features 13 new property additions throughout Australia and New Zealand, offering even more choice for corporate travellers,” Ms Cobern said.
