Brits offered free lift passes

  • Eagle Point, Utah’s newest ski and board resort, three-and- a-half hours’ drive from Las Vegas, is offering British skiers and riders free lift passes all winter, with no blackout dates.  The resort, whose peak is at a lofty 3,200 metres, enjoys over 11 metres powder each winter. It has 40 runs for all standards of skiers, and over 600 acres of skiing.  The resort opens on December 21 and British nationals must present their passport as proof of nationality and provide an email address to get their free lift pass.   • Ski Independence is offering up to £500pp off a seven-night ski trip to Vail, USA to customers who book by January 15. Accommodation is at the six-bedroom Ptarmigan catered chalet and the price of £1,099pp includes return flights from Heathrow and shared transfers. The operator is also offering up to a 30% discount on seven nights in Westin Whistler Resort for bookings made by the end of January. Flight-inclusive prices start at £1,435pp, based on two sharing a studio junior suite on a room-only basis. Guests will also receive a US$200 food credit.


  • Ski Total is offering savings of £220pp on an early January ski trip to Alpe d’Huez, with 250kms of skiing in the Grandes Rousses ski area.  A week starts at £499pp (was £719) for seven nights from January 13 in the Chalet Christian which is 150m from the closest ski run.  The price includes flights from Gatwick, transfers and catered accommodation.


  • Esprit Ski has seven nights at the catered Chalet Machu Picchu in Les Arcs 2000 for £350pp (was £593) for the week beginning January 13. The price includes return flights from Southampton to Geneva, transfers, seven nights’ catered chalet accommodation and free babysitting.
